Telecommuting
The University of Freiburg launched a pilot project for telecommuting/homeworking in 2007.
The main goals of the measure are to enable employees to achieve a better work-family balance through a temporal and spatial flexibilization of work organization and to achieve higher motivation and job satisfaction through more self-responsibility in the scheduling of working hours and the organization of working routines, thus leading to improvements in quality and productivity.

Die Universität Freiburg hat 2007 die alternierende Telearbeit/Heimarbeit in Form eines Pilotprojektes eingeführt.
Ziele der Maßnahme sind u.a., den Beschäftigten durch die zeitliche und räumliche Flexibilisierung der Arbeitsorganisation eine bessere Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie zu ermöglichen, durch mehr Selbstverantwortung bei der Festlegung der Arbeitszeit und der Gestaltung der Arbeit eine höhere Motivation und Arbeitszufriedenheit zu erreichen und dadurch die Arbeitsqualität und -produktivität zu verbessern.
