I.sposare [spoˈzare] GLAG. preh. glag. Per tradurre sposare (nel senso di prendere per moglie o marito) e sposarsi to get married è più comune nell'inglese parlato di to marry: John ha sposato Rose il 19 marzo = John got married to Rose on March, 19th. Spesso si evita anche l'uso della preposizione to riformulando la frase: John and Rose got married on March, 19th. In ogni caso, si notino l'ambiguità del seguente uso italiano e le relative traduzioni: John è sposato con Rose = John is married to Rose Peter è sposato con tre figli = Peter is married with three children.
