In 2012, it ranked 161st of 186 countries in the Human Development Index of the United Nations Development Programme, placing it in the ‘ Low human development ’ category.

An annual economic growth rate of just 3.6%, coupled with high population growth and rising inflation further aggravates the situation for the almost 37 million Ugandans.

In 2007, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) declared Uganda a priority country for development cooperation.

In the course of industrialization, accounting departments were confronted with ever larger amounts of data that made it essential to rationalize processing with the aid of machines.

In Germany, the inflation of 1923 was a major impetus for using accounting machines, especially in medium-sized companies.

The first machines were developed towards the end of the 19th century in the USA.

All signs point to an upswing

Besides these four reasons, the authors are expecting positive signals from other key factors such as inflation, the euro exchange rate, the price of oil and other raw materials, global trade and policies of central banks.

"Taking all of these together – the internal strength of our economy, increased activity on our domestic market, positive impetuses from export markets and a good overall framework – all this means that in 2014, the German economy can achieve powerful growth of at least 2%," says Schwenker.

Im vergangenen Jahrzehnt hat die Geldpolitik der EZB dazu geführt, dass die Inflation in Deutschland und Österreich sehr niedrig lag, während Länder wie Irland oder Spanien deutlich höhere Inflationsraten zu verzeichnen hatten;

Indeed, one should also bear in mind that the ECB aligns its monetary policy to the euro area as a whole and not just to a couple of individual ( German-speaking ) countries.

In the past decade, the common monetary policy of the ECB resulted in very low inflation rate in Germany and Austria, while countries such as Ireland and Spain recorded significantly stronger rises in prices.

On average, however, the inflation rate was close to 2% (equivalent to the ECB target).

www.rolandberger.de

With family and living situations changing more quickly, the investment products and services offered must also become more flexible.

In this context, absolute returns are losing relevance and are being replaced by r3 – "real real returns" (returns from real assets after inflation and taxes).
