An Office has been set up at this Tribunal to examine the fact of non-consummation in a marriage and the existence of a just cause for granting a dispensation.
It therefore receives all the acts, together with the votum of the Bishop and the remarks of the Defender of the Bond, weighs them according to its own special procedure and, if the case warrants it, submits a petition to the Supreme Pontiff requesting the dispensation.

www.vatican.vaBei diesem Gericht ist ein Amt eingerichtet, dem es zukommt, über die Tatsache des Nichtvollzugs der Ehe und über das Vorhandensein eines gerechten Grundes für die Gewährung der Dispens zu urteilen.
Deshalb nimmt es zusammen mit dem Votum des Bischofs und mit den Anmerkungen des Bandverteidigers sämtliche Akten entgegen, prüft sie gemäß einer besonderen Vorgehensweise und legt gegebenenfalls dem Papst die Bittschrift um Gewährung der Dispens vor.
