The image above, scanned from a picture taken with Pentax Z-20 is showing the sundial at the side yard of the planetarium.
Within the reflection of the front building of the planetarium you can see the mirroring fassade of the 1990 built library rondell which is connected with the building on the right edge of the picture.
Left to the photo there is the Munsterdamm.

In der Spiegelung des Planetariumvorgebäudes ist das verspiegelte Bibliotheksrondell zu sehen, das rechts hinter der Aufnahmeposition liegt.Das Rondell wurde 1990 fertiggestellt ( siehe auch eine kleine Geschichte der Berliner Astronomie und der Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte ).
Hinter dem linken Rand des Fotos befindet sich der Munsterdamm.

In the first large municipal seal from the time of the granting of the town charter there is a battlement tower above an open gate between turrets, in front of which there is a rondell of the height of the wall.
The magistrate s seal from the early 14th century, however, displays two upright, gothically styled keys with hafts arranged above each other which is the model for today s town seal.

In dem ersten großen Stadtsiegel aus der Zeit der Stadterhebung steht ein Zinnenturm über offenem Tor zwischen Türmchen, denen je ein Rondell in der Mauerhöhe vorgelegt ist.
Das Schöffensiegel aus dem frühen 14. Jahrhundert zeigt dagegen zwei stehende, gotisch stilisierte Schlüssel mit übereinandergelegten Griffen, welche die Vorlage für das heutige Stadtsiegel darstellen.
