The process of redistributing land from the commercial agricultural sector to the “ landless ” is seen as a requirement for the social and economic development of the country and remains of high priority in politics.
The BMEL supported the participation of German experts from the BVVG Bodenverwertungs und –verwaltungs GMBH and from the Landgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH (LGMV) on a Land Reform Workshop in Stellenbosch from November 3-6, 2014.
In preparation for the workshop, the participants went on a field trip and visited various fruit farms in the Western Cape, which are already involved in 'Land Reform' projects.

In Vorbereitung auf den Workshop fand eine Feldexkursion statt, bei dem die Teilnehmer verschiedene Obstbaubetriebe in der Region Western Cape besuchten, die bereits in Landreformprojekte involviert sind.
