www.ruhr-uni-bochum.deThe experimental method used here is grazing incidence X-ray diffraction ( GIXRD ), which was already proved to be a suitable tool for the analysis of single crystal surfaces and mineral / adsorbate interfaces in experiments on calcite and fluoro-apatite at ambient conditions.
Within the scope of this project at the Institut für Geologie, Mineralogie und Gerphysik of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum ( chair of crystallography ) a
homepage.ruhr-uni-bochum.deMit der Methode der Röntgenbeugung unter streifendem Einfall ( grazing incidence X-ray diffraction - GIXRD ) wurde in Experimenten an Calcit- und Apatit-Grenzflächen gezeigt, dass die atomare Struktur von Einkristall-Oberflächen, sowie die periodische Anordnung von Adsorbat-Molekülen auf der Oberfläche unter Umwelt-Bedingungen ( Normaldruck, Raumtemperatur ) bestimmt werden kann.
