The freitagsküche is a meeting point for those active in a range of cultural, economic and political fields, a ›communications factory‹, which offers an unforced framework for table talk.
In 2013 the freitagsküche offered the festivals audiences and artists the chance to enter conversations with each other after the Friday performances.

2010-08-21 On August 19th JOKE’s new event format – Table Talks – was premiered at Tim Mälzer’s Bullerei.
The table, which was especially built for this event, was the key location where this small group of Hamburg’s marketing and communications specialists could hold their first discussion.

21.08.2010 Am 19.08. fand die Premiere des neuen Veranstaltungsformats JOKE Tischgespräche in der Bullerei von Tim Mälzer statt.
Der eigens für diese Veranstaltung gebaute Tisch ist das Kernstück, an dem ein kleiner Gästekreis Hamburger Marketing und Kommunikationsspezialisten sich austauschen konnte.

After a breakfast and table talk lasting about one hour, the group is led to the apiary on the museum ’ s flat roof to observe the bees and discover the goings-on inside the hives.
In the process, we take a bit of beeswax from the colonies, which the children then use to make their own crayons.

Dabei wird den Bienenvölkern etwas Wachs entnommen, das im Anschluss an den Ausflug zum Bienenstand von den Kindern zu Wachsmalstiften weiterverarbeitet wird.
