Seine Hauptinteressen bei der Leitungsarbeit in der reformierten Kirche Baselland galten den allgemeinen Fragen einer Kantonalkirche, die sich als Volkskirche versteht.
Im Vordergrund standen die Arbeit mit dem Kirchenrat, die Personalführung der Mitarbeitenden, die Zusammenarbeit mit der Synode und mit den Kirchgemeinden, die Beschäftigung mit den kirchlichen Strukturen, den Aufgaben in Verkündigung und Diakonie und mit den Fragen nach der gesamtgesellschaftlichen Bedeutung der Kirche heute.

Key activities included cooperation with the Church Council, human resources management, collaboration with the synod and parishes, elaborating church structures, duties pertaining to the annunciation and social welfare, and questions concerning the role of the Church in society as a whole.
