Das Werk Golßen wurde 1879 durch die Brüder Paul und Artur Lösche erbaut und produzierte bis 1945 Kartoffelstärke, Dextrin, Spezialleime und Speiseöl.

Die Stärkefabrik Kyritz wurde 1873 durch den Kaufmann Carl Conrad errichtet und umfasste zuerst nur die Herstellung von Kartoffelstärke.
Die Kartoffelverarbeitung betrug anfangs 125 Tonnen pro Tag.
