Stadtmuseum Oldenburg
Das Stadtmuseum Oldenburg ist aus der privaten Kunst- und Geschichtssammlung des Oldenburger Kunstliebhabers und Mäzens Theodor Francksen entstanden, der 1914 seinen Kunstbesitz, seine historischen Sammlungen und seine beiden Villen an der damaligen Rosenstraße der Stadt vererbte.

The Stadtmuseum Oldenburg originated from a private art and history collection of the Oldenburger art-lover and Maecenas Theodor Francksen, who bequeathed his historical collections and his two villas at the former Rosenstraße to the town.
