Am IAG wird seit mehreren Jahren auf dem Gebiet der aerodynamischen Schallerzeugung an Windkraftanlagen und Flugzeugen Forschung betrieben.
Dies erfolgte weitgehend im Rahmen von verschiedenen EU-Forschungsprojekten und des DFG-Projekts SWING (Simulation of Wing Noise Generation).
