2000 hatten Aron Ciechanover und Martin Scheffner vom DKFZ ein gemeinsames Projekt mit dem Titel :
Regulation von zellregulatorischen Proteinen durch ubiquitin-abhängigen Proteinabbau.
Dieses Projekt wurde unter anderen als herausragend eingestuft und somit zum sogenannten ?Highlight-Projekt? deklariert.
