Die internationale und europäische Agenda zur Verbesserung der Ressourceneffizienz hat zum Ziel, eine ressourceneffiziente Ökonomie zu entwickeln, die mit weniger Input mehr Werte schafft, Ressourcen nachhaltiger nutzt und die mit der Ressourcennutzung verbundenen Umweltauswirkungen minimiert.
In diesem Zusammenhang kommt der Abschaffung von umweltschädigenden Subventionen ( environmentally harmful subsidies EHS ) eine wichtige Rolle zu.
Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, die Europäische Kommission darin mit relevanten Kenntnissen und Beratungstätigkeit zu unterstützen.
