Clannishness and party obedience should be eliminated; its moral base strengthened; a noble tradition of national pride created; and fighting spirit, professional conscience, and bravery should become criteria for promotion.
In a world today characterised by bigotry, hate, prejudice, clannishness, and exclusion, let us, as heirs to a history of struggle against oppression, be beacons in such darkness.
