I.far [brit. angl. fɑː, am. angl. fɑr] PRISL. Note the different Italian translations of far from when it is followed by a noun, a verb or an adjective: we are far from home/from London = siamo lontani da casa/da Londra; far from being stupid, he's actually very intelligent = lungi dall'essere stupido, in realtà è molto intelligente; far from angry = lungi dall'essere arrabbiato/tutt'altro che arrabbiato. - When used in front of a comparative, far is translated by molto or assai: far older = molto/assai più vecchio.
